After a thorough assessment, we discuss a detailed treatment approach that is tailored to your specific
needs and goals. My style is interactive and personable, open and empathic.
My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, supportive environment in which my clients can begin to understand
their feelings while discovering what barriers may exist that limit their full potential. Many of the clients I assist are
going through various life challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger or a wounded self-esteem.
My approach is warm, non-judgmental, conversational and solution focused. I tend to focus on the here
in now to help find solutions. Clients find my office to be a very comfortable atmosphere that offers a safe, supportive place
to talk in a gentle setting.
It is my belief that there are times in life when we feel stuck, or are experiencing suffering, and need
support in order to move through and change patterns that are no longer of use. Sometimes it is necessary to access guidance
from a professional outside of the current situation in order to assist in gaining perspective. Through this collaboration,
it is possible to gain insight and awareness that allows one to move forward with awareness and options.
I practice using a collaborative, strength based approach. Treatment focuses on increasing awareness about
life patterns, building on strengths, and developing new coping strategies. My professional strengths include knowledge of
a variety of presenting issues and treatment options, and an ability to connect easily with clients.
My experience is diverse, having worked with adults, adolescents, college students, young professionals, children,
couples and families. By taking a developmental approach, we can work together to reduce limiting negative beliefs while enhancing
your positive strengths.
